Little Orange Hummer

This little fellow is about 4 inches long from beak to tail. He stands 6 inches on top of the old pepper shaker. I made the hummer out of orange velvet. He's got a thorn for his beak, and little pins on him, with beady eyes. His little wire legs stick into the holes of the pepper shaker.

Baby Robin

This is really a teenage robin, still has little whisps of baby fluff peeking out between his growing-up feathers! This fellow is 7 (standing on the wood) inches high, by 8 inches long from beak to tail. He's made from an assortment of wools with lots of hand work. He's got beads for eyes, and wire legs that are stapled to a piece of old painted and chippy wood. I've signed and dated the bottom of the wood.

WoodBird

I made this in 2009. I have signed and dated it on the back, which has brown paper covering the wood for wall protection, and a saw tooth hanger.I cut the bird, painted and sanded him and found an old drill thing to decorate the wood-I guess this may be considered assemblage art.

This is 18 inches, by 9.5 inches. The wood base is about an inch thick-it's old wood that I've varnished to bring out the beautiful saw blade cuts. I love the lath marks from the wall it must have been a part of. I scavenge wood and junk for my art!

Clark Gable

I finally figured out who this guy remined me of-that's right-Mr. Suave Gable...I guess it's that little mustache!This guy can be picked up by the nose and carried where you want him-but he's not for outside. There's a paper backing on the wood. He's all ready to be hung, with a sawtooth hanger on the back. I made this guy in 2009. I have signed and dated the back.

Mr. Gable measures 15 inches long, by about 10 inches wide. His length is increased by his stick neck with the string tie, which measures a little over 3 inches long. I doubt if Clark Gable ever wore a string tie, though-but-I think this guy looks very dapper and will smile no matter what!

All his gear is secure, but he does not like children fiddling with his faucet ears! They are screwed and glued, but like I say, Mr. Gable is patient-up to a point!!!This guy is heavy. The shipping is included in the price.

Tom

Tom is a different guy-maybe sort of confused....He measures 17 inches long by around 4 inches wide. He's got nice old broom stick legs and honeysuckle twig arms. There are bottle caps on his feet. He is for hanging on a wall-he's got a wire sewn to his back for hanging. Signed and dated-2010.

Dick

Dick is a happy guy, that's all there is to it...He's the best at playing Santa because of that beard.He's about 18 inches long and a bit over 4 inches wide. Will hang around on the wall by a wire on his back, and will NOT interrupt a conversation. I promise!

Harry

Harry is also pretty much a good guy and will hang aroung on the wall just like his brothers, Tom and Dick...He's 19 inches tall by around 5 inches wide. When he was out at sea, a lobster bit off his right foot, so he now has a glass one...

Sam

Sam...can be on the wild side at times-but will do the hoeing and does not complain too much. Sam is about 19 inches long, by 5-6 inches wide. He likes turnips.

Little Rusty Bird

Here is a rusty-brown bird that's settling in for the night, tucking his beak between his wings. This fellow is hand sewn and made of old wool. He is fiberfilled and has bead eyes and a thorn beak. He's got one wire leg up, and the other in the old wood base.
