Orange Vase

A barn board painting which measures about 9 inches wide, and 19 inches tall. The sides are painted-this does not need framing. It's ready to hang up. I coated this painting with a matte sealer.

Flat Folk House

I like making 3 dimentional houses, but I thought-why not make houses that are flat? They hang up just like a painting, with a saw tooth hanger on the back.This house is 7 inches wide, and 25 inches tall to the peak of the roof.

I constructed this flat house out of recycled cedar, snow fence boards, rusty nails and some little metal thing for a window box, which you can see in the top of the house. I painted between the boards to make it look like a cabin. There are wire window dividers. I covered the back with brown paper for wall protection.

This house is built solidly-but not for outdoors-it's not coated with a sealer. It's not a playhouse-there are things that could pose a danger for small children.

Jem the Crow

I adore ravens and crows. They are a Primitive art icon, but I've loved them before they were famous. They're smart, they're beautiful. Crows can be trained to talk! I've read that tame crows can live 40-80 years."It's A Wonderful Life," my favorite Christmas movie, has a tame crow named Jimmy. That bird was in quite a few movies.My offerings for this Lemon Poppy Seed update are a crow named Jem, and a raven named Liam.

Meet Jem, the crow. She's 15 inches tall at her head, and about 12 inches long. She's made of heavy muslin, painted and sanded. I haven't coated her with varnish. She wears a wool hand sewn cape with a hood. She also has 2 mittens I knitted-she liked the shiny tinsel on them. All of her 'clothes' can be taken off.

Jem stands firmly on stick legs secured in a pine board. I comb painted the board and there's vintage sheet music on the bottom of the board. Of course you won't see that too much!Price includes shipping.My own pattern and design.Not child safe.

Liam the Raven

14 inches high at his head and 17 inches long, Liam the raven is made just like Jem the crow. Liam has a rusty wire wreath around his neck. I thought about making decorations for the wreath, but I liked the simple look of it just as it is.

Miss Wanda Brooke

18 inches tall, by 7 inches wide, Miss Wanda Brooke is a retired stenographer. She has never married...but believes in eternal hope for Mr. Right. She's off to the ballroom dance lesson every Friday night.

Miss Wanda is made of heavy cotton, acrylic painted, fiberfilled, and wears an authentic ratty old hat with a veil. If her fingernails were part of this doll, they'd be bright red! That's Wanda!

She's on her own little wooden stand and likes to lean a bit against the wall-it gets sorta hot dancing. I guess you can tell by the hair-do. Oh-her wool hair is sewn to her head.Not child or pet safe.My own design.Price includes shipping.
