Miss Deerfield

I am in love with Miss Deerfield! She is so prim, so worn. I created her from very grungy muslin that I sanded so much there is soo many little love holes to give her a very old and well loved primitive look. She has been mostly ragged stuff with just a wee bit of fiberfill for a heavy old rag doll feel as well.

She is a big gal, about 29" long and all her facial details are hand-stitched with floss. I also did repair work on her, just as mom would of years ago. Patch on the side of her head, on her leg and she is missing on eye. Did I mention she has been well loved? Just a small hint of Raw Flax for her hair. Sweet little necklace from either vintage Cracker Jack or Gumball Machine prize. It's a little book on a chain. Her dress top is a blue floral calico and blue and brown homespun for her skirt. This outfit has been grungied up as well and sanded. Miss Deerfield is hoping for a new home for Valentine's Day. I created Miss Deerfield from a wonderful Netty Lacroix pattern.
