Set of Prim Christmas Stockings

These stockings are made from painted and stained muslin. I did use my special staining sauce on them, so they smell awesome. I used some prim stitches to attach the homespun trim around thte top. I did stitch a hanging loop on each one. They have some rusty bells pinned on with rusty pins. Each has it's own tag that reads PRIM STOCKING and it's signed and dated by me. I stuffed the stockings with preserved sweet annie and some twiggies and finished each with a long cinnamon stick. These are light weight and lightly stuffed with polyfill and measure about 15 - 16 inches each without the greens included in the measurements. Primitive Folk Art Santa Stocking

I made this folk art stocking out of red striped ticking and used rags for the stuffing, so it has a nice feel to it. I gave it a good coating of my special staining sauce so it smells so good. This is a very long stocking, about 20 inches not including the greens and about 2 foot or more if you include the greens. I stitched some faux fur around the top and then glued it on too for extra measure. I stuffed some twiggies in there and plenty preserved sweet annie, so it'll stay green. I added a nice long cinnamon stick in there too. I used a big rusty pin for the hanger and made a cute hangtag and pinned it on with a rusty pin and bell. This stocking comes to you signed and dated. MakeDo Folk Art Angel Doll

This is a OOAK original folk art angel created by me. She is about 2 foot tall from her halo to the bottom of her dress. I made her head and body from osnaburg and stained her rather dark. I used artist's pencils and paint for her face. I needle felted her hair in place, it's 100% wool. I also gave her a halo out of twiggy wire and some pip berries. It's glued to her head very well.

As for her clothes...well, her dress is made from a very old pillowcase that had some handstitching done on it. If you look closely you can tell her arms are just some of the pillowcase that have been attached and tied in a knot for her hands. She is holding a cone made from an antique quilt and filled with drieds. She doesn't have legs (she's a make do and she doesn't need them). She just has a head and body. I did stitch another layer to her body so her dress is fuller, it's also from another old pillowcase. I made her a set of wings and stitched them to her back. The wings are from an antique quilt that I stiffened.

This primitive make do doll would look great tucked inside your Christmas tree branches or sitting in a rocker. She hangs very nicely and could be put anywhere you want her. She is not my usual style, she is more extreme prim with a folk art face, and I think she turned out great. If you would like more pics or details, just shoot me an email and I'll get back to you. Prim Mittens Wallhanger

These are my original design. I used red ticking and some warm and natural for the cuff. I stained them and then stitched them together, so these mittens are staying together, no strays here! I stuffed them polyfill and some twiggies and preserved sweet annie. I sewed a loop on the back for hanging. Each mitten has a rusty snowflake stitched to the front of it. You only see one in the pics, but they both have one. The hangtag is pinned on and may be moved if you wish. This Wynter Blessings wallhanger comes signed and dated.

Handpainted Vintage Strainer SNOWGIRL

This is a One Of A Kind Original handpainted by me. I used a vintage strainer and acrylic painted and then sprayed it good with a sealer. She has a homespun bow and scarf. She is 7 inches from top to bottom. This ornie would make a great gift and definitely not your average everyday item! It would look nice hanging in the kitchen all year or hang it from your prim tree.

Grubby Ginger Ornies

Santa's favorite...Gingerbread Cookies. This cute gathering comes with a sack of cookie mix, it's an old feedsack that has a decal added and heavily stained in my special sauce. I stuffed it with sawdust and it's about 7 inches tall. There is a hangtag included. I have made four small gingerbread men, 4 inches each, and 2 big gingers that measure 6 inches. I made the gingers from saltdough and grubbies them and rolled in cinnamon and a few other spices. I did not seal them because I think they look nice and prim without being sealed. For storage, I would store them in an airtight container that the mice can't get in because they smell yummy. If you have any questions or need to see more pics, just shoot me an email:)

Folk Art Sheep Frames

These wooden frames have been hand painted by me using a design by John Sliney. The frames are 7 x 7 inches and the sheep pics inside are 3.5 inches. I used acrylic paints and then sealed it. I also put a coat of good staining wax on the top so it looks good and old.
