Folk Art Easter Doll with Bunny

This young lady is made by me from my own pattern and design. She is made of lightly stained muslin which has been tightly stuffed with polyfill. Her slender neck has been reinforced with a dowel. her hands are needle sculpted and her button down boots are painted on. She is approx 25" long and 14" tall when seated. Her hair is wool which has been very generously and firmly felted in place and and tied with strips of cheesecloth. She is stitch jointed at the hips, shoulders, knees, and elbows for easy posing. Her flat bottom allows her to sit up on her own.

Her dress is rose pink and ivory cotton and has been machine embroidered at the hem in pink. There is a sweet little crochet lace trimm around the neckline and sleeve hems. She is wearing heavily stained muslin slip and pantaloons which have pink embroidered borders at the hems to match the dress embroidery. Her bunny is stained warm and natural cotton batting with pink polka dotted ears and he comes with a big painted muslin carrot. A coordinating polka dot heart is included in the set.

Polka Dotted Valentine Heart Pocket

This darling hanging heart is made of aged rose pink and ivory cotton polka dot fabric. It’s stuffed with polyfill and has a pocket sewn into the front. The pocket edge is trimmed with a delicate piece of semi-sheer antique fabric with the original, finely crocheted lace still attached to the fabrics edge. The pocket is stuffed with one of my own valentine prim tags, a baby pink dried rose, and some dried Sweet Annie. It is suspended by a strip of stained cheesecloth and would look darling hanging on a peg, cabinet knob, or just a nail in the wall. It would be great for Valentines day or all year long Shabby Chic. This heart measures approx 8" wide and hangs 12" long.
